The Land of Hope

PandatariafilmThe Land of Hope

Project details

Two faces of Colombia are known to the world: the nice face full of artistic beauty and tourist attractions and the ugly face full of violence, poverty and degradation. But new kinds of social development and rehabilitation are beginning to advance in the poorest and most depressed areas of Cartagena, and they give a glimmer of hope to this land. All the intolerance and anger of the young rappers in the Boston quarter is expressed through their music which, in telling their story, is a cry for help. It’s within this context that the Granitos de Paz Foundation carries out its projects to give social support by providing a health service, land, homes, job training and the raw materials necessary for the development of small artisan enterprises.
