Dawn is breaking on the great mountain called Jebel Mousa. It was here that Moses received the Ten Commandments. Or at least that is what is said to have happened according to some experts, who don’t believe that the biblical Mountain associated with Moses has ever been identified. Accompanied by the story of the Exodus and the words of the most important explorers, our journey takes us along the Sinai Peninsula and the path of the prophet in search of the sacred mountain. The role that Moses’ Mountain plays in the birth of monotheism and as the “logos” of the revelation, continues to keep the interest alive of the biblical footsteps of the Jews flight from the Pharaoh’s persecution. A journey through a mix of past and present that leads us across deserts and seas to the monastery of St. Catherine, at the foot of the mountain where faith and mystery are lost to infinity.
