Multi-Coloured Cultures

PandatariafilmMulti-Coloured Cultures

Project details

Carnival time on the Seychelles is a very important annual event celebrating the fusion of the cultural and ethnic differences present on the archipelago, the main attraction for an ever-growing number of tourists. These islands don’t have their own indigenous population, but are inhabited by the French and English and by the African slaves who once worked on the plantations. It took a long time before the European and African ethnic groups began to merge, and not so long ago the population has been even more enriched by the added attraction of an Asian influence. The Seychelles, a tourist dream in today’s world, seem destined to watch their cultural heritage grow while representing a unique example of happy multi-racial coexistence.
