Project details
On the Patagonian range situated south of the Andes, part of the Los Glaciares National Park can be found. The Park was created in 1937 to safeguard the region’s ecosystem and it features the most famous Argentinian Glacier, called the Perito Moreno, also known as “the Living Glacier” because of its cyclic movement in the waters of Lake Argentino. In the ancient “estancia El Galpon”, people still live on breeding sheep and wool production, two activities that once made settlement in such a hostile area possible. In Buenos Aires, Fernanda, an artist of Italian origin, tells of her experience trying to depict the majesty of the living glacier, Perito Moreno .
