Project details
The Siwa Oasis, situated in the great White Sea of Sand, was once an important stop off for camel drivers who, following the caravan routes, made their way to the Mediterranean or to the banks of the Nile. A source of unlimited life, the Great River winds its way through the desert sands distributing fertility as it goes. In fact, Egypt owes its fortune to the flowing waters of the Nile, both in the past and in the present. Wonderful environments appear, the result of the three elements that continue to characterize the ancient caravan routes: the river, the sand dunes and the lush green of the oasis. It was here that Alexander the Great came to consult the oracle and was told he was the son of Zeus!
