Grand Tour of Brazil

PandatariafilmGrand Tour of Brazil

Project details

Brazil is the largest country in South America covering an area of 8.5 million square kms. It would take dozens of journeys, each to one of its special places, before you could really say you knew it. The first stop on this journey is in Fernando de Noronha, a wild island with the most beautiful beaches in the world. The surrounding waters are inhabited by many species of tropical fish and some entertaining dancing dolphins. Then the journey continues to Lençois, in Minas Gerais, to meet the legendary diamond diggers called garimpèros, and explore the grottos and canyons of the Chapada Diamantina National Park. The final destination is along the San Antonio River, to meet the Afro-Brazilian communities Kilombòla and Caonje, who continue to keep their traditions alive with the help of a government-backed project.
