A Gran Tour of Venezuela

PandatariafilmA Gran Tour of Venezuela

Project details

A tour of Venezuela, from the high peaks of the Tepuis, the sacred mountains of the Kamarakotos, to the “los Roques” islands in the Caribbean sea, by way of the Gran Sabana and the Orinoco River. Wonderful aerial shots show the primordial landscape that leads to the highest waterfall in the world: Salto Angel (Angel Falls). From here to the great lagoon of Canaima, with its five amazing waterfalls that replenish the Carrao, as it makes its way to the Orinoco, one of the most important rivers in South America. Flying over the waters that flow from the Gran Sabana, our journey takes us to the stilt villages on the shores of the Orinoco River to meet the Waraos, the canoe men. A small plane then flies us to the truly heavenly “Los Roques” islands for the final stage of this documentary. Housed in the welcoming and comfortable posadas, we spend our time relaxing on the whiter than white sandy beaches, while enjoying the wonders of nature both above and below the surface of these enchanted waters.
