Travelling around Romania

PandatariafilmTravelling around Romania

Project details

A journey to Romania to find out more about its natural environment, culture and amusements. An itinerary for those travellers looking for a weekend, or a short holiday, in a country within almost everyone’s reach. The first part of the journey takes place along the waters of the Danube through the heart of Dobruja to its Delta, an area that has been declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. A short detour leads to Jurilovca to watch an orthodox wedding ceremony and experience a little of the fusion of cultures, typical in these areas, and take a look at Capul Dolosman, an ancient Greco-Roman harbour. From the coasts of the Black Sea our journey continues into the heart of Moldavia to visit the Sucevita Monastery, the small town of Piatra Neamt and the natural reserve of Dragos Voda. The last stop is Bucharest, the capital of Romania, a city that has hit on just the right balance between the modern and the traditional.
