The Days of the Fourth Moon

PandatariafilmThe Days of the Fourth Moon

Project details

An ancient tradition requires that the people on a small Hong Kong island only eat vegetarian food during the fourth moon of the Chinese calendar. On the fourth day, the sacred bread of Taoism is offered to the moon and this gesture marks the beginning of an important celebration. This includes a procession of children who have the symbolic task of cleansing the island’s streets of any disease. And this is also a story of dragons and lions, of god-like heroes and ancient superstitions; a story that takes place more the nine thousand kilometres from Italy.
