The Archipelago of San Andreas and Providencia

PandatariafilmThe Archipelago of San Andreas and Providencia

Project details

The archipelago of San Andres and Providencia, in Colombia, are a group of blissful islands in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea. San Andres is an international destination with a high-profile and lively nightlife. It is shaped like a seahorse and is the biggest island of the archipelago, which flaunts a coral reef inhabited by a multitude of sponges and fish species. The smaller towns of La Loma and San Luis are much more representative of the island’s real soul. Unlike San Andres, Providencia preserves the local ancestral heritage of this corner of the world and has been able to safeguard the beauty of its ecosystem, thanks to a policy of environmental protection. The Old Providence McBean Lagoon Natural Reserve, with its beautiful mangroves, is only one of the wonders of this island. The island of Santa Catalina, to the north of Providencia, and the exotic beaches of Aguadulce and Bahia Suroeste are further wonders not to be missed.
